The Creative Class is a posited socioeconomic class first identified by the famous American economistand social scientist, Richard Florida.   According to Florida, the CreativeClass is a new economic hierarchy, deriving from the aspiration for creationagainst the background of the rapid development of economy in a new era.Creative Class includes "people whose economic function is to create newideas, new technology or creative content”.


CFCC (China Future Creative Class) Project is first initiatedby Doctor Weimin Li, being the project leader. MuxiLin, a famous economist and Cheung Kong professor of the Ministry of Education, is the chief expert. By integrating resources and establishing platform, the CFCC Project aims to foster China’sown Creative Class. The members’ mind, ambition, knowledge and ability are all supposed to be in line with international practice and accord with the concept of Creative Class mentioned above.


Ever since its initiation in 2013, the project now has grown into a key program for college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship education supported by the Provincial Education Department. Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Course (CIEC), Economics of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Course (EIEC), Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (CIEF) and Smart Economy Contest are the major sectors of our projectnow.


The CIEC and EIEC involve encouraging students to take innovation and entrepreneurship courses in China, inviting world-renowned scholars to offer lectures for our students in June, and sending about 200students during summer and winter vacation to the United States and the U.K. for visit respectively. Each year in late June, 50 teachers and 200 studentswill be chosen from all over the province to attend a Forum and workshop hostedby CFCC.   As for the Smart Economy Contest,about 10,000 students from 42 universities in Liaoningprovince have participated in the contest in October 2015 and 2016. Meanwhile, CFCC is also involved in establishing the Liaoning Entrepreneurs Association, which attracted over 300 members indifferent industries ranging from electric business, finance, automobile, medical care, original arts to home furnishings, and etc.


To put it in a simpler way, CFCC is committed to building up a high platform for international exchanges, establishing a whole innovation andentrepreneurship eco-system of industry-academy-research, and cultivating talents who are able to integrate international and local situations.
